Italglobal Partners acquires Gimel
Italglobal Partners has acquired a 70% stake in Gimel, an Italian manufacturer of children's clothing.
The acquisition was made by an Italglobal-led group of investors by way of a club deal.
Following the transaction, Gimel CEO Alberto Dalena will remain with the business and continue to lead the company. Italglobal's Ruggero Jenna will become president of the board.
According to a statement, the company is aiming to double its turnover by 2023.

Established in 1978 and based in Putignano, near Bari, Gimel is a manufacturer of children's clothing and accessories for luxury fashion brands like Cavalli Junior, Elisabetta Franchi La mia Bambina, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, Young Versace, Dondup and Berwich. The company generated EBITDA of €2.7m from revenues of €18m in 2017, and expects to reach EBITDA of €3.2m from revenues of €21m in 2018.
