
Oxy Capital buys Portuguese software specialist Saphety
Private equity firm Oxy Capital has acquired Portugal-based software specialist Saphety from telecoms company Sonaecom.
Sonaecom is part of the Sonae group, a multinational company managing a diversified portfolio of businesses in retail, financial services, technology, retail and telecommunications.
The GP deployed capital from its Fundo Oxy Capital II, which targets growth-stage and mezzanine investments, and deploys tickets from €4m. It backs profitable Portuguese companies with high-growth potential and sector consolidation opportunities.
The fund's LP base is composed of institutional investors, including the European Investment Fund, US-based foundations, family offices and local high-net-worth individuals, as well as the firm's management team, who made a significant commitment to the fund.
