Collins Capital exits Anna Ecologica to trade
Barcelona-based private equity firm Collins Capital has sold its 40% stake in organic products specialist Anna Ecologica to Spanish supermarket chain Veritas, Unquote understands.
In addition, Veritas also acquired a 33% stake from co-founder Rosa Morera, while co-founder Silvia Fillola retained a minority stake and will continue to lead the company.
Veritas manages a network of 72 organic shops and employs 700 staff. Following this last add-on, the company expects to generate revenues of around €100m in 2019.
Collins Capital acquired a 40% stake in Anna Ecologica at the beginning of 2016. The GP invests in Spanish companies generating EBITDA of €100,000-3m and deploys equity tickets in the €500,000-10m range.

Based in Barcelona, Anna Ecologica specialises in producing and distributing organic products to supermarkets, restaurants, hotels and retailers across the Catalonia region. Its product offering includes vegetables, fruit, cereals, legumes, dairy products, meat, coffee, tofu and soy. The company generated revenues of €4m in 2018.
