NB Aurora backs pharma logistics specialist PHSE
Milan-listed investment firm NB Aurora has invested in Pharma Healthcare Supply Chain Expertise (PHSE), alongside Italian manager and entrepreneur Eddy De Vita.
The deal was made via a newco, which acquired a 70% stake in the company. The newco is 30.8% controlled by NB Aurora, which deployed an equity ticket of €16m, while the remainder is owned by De Vita.
The vendors are the company's founders, Andrea Cerchia, Carlo Cerchia and Gianluca Meneguzzi, who all reinvested in the business and retained the remaining 30% stake.
Following the deal, De Vita will be appointed as executive chair of PHSE, while Graham Inglis, former global CEO of DHL life sciences and healthcare, will join the company's board.
With NB Aurora's support, PHSE intends to consolidate its market position in Italy, boost its growth both organically and via new acquisitions, bolster its international expansion and broaden its portfolio of services.

Established in 2002, PHSE specialises in the transportation of biological and pharmaceutical products.
The company is headquartered in Legnano, near Milan, with offices in the UK, the US and Singapore. It employs 300 staff across 12 hubs and generates revenues of around €30m.
