
Fondo Agroalimentare Italiano exits Sfoglia Torino
Fondo Agroalimentare Italiano (FAI) has sold its stake in Italian frozen pastry specialist Sfoglia Torino to the founding Perrino family.
The GP acquired Sfoglia Torino in 2017, investing in the company alongside CEO Enzo Perrino and his family.
FAI held a €55m final close in December 2019 and has invested €33m across six companies so far.
Under FAI's ownership, Sfoglia Torino consolidated its market position in Italy, further expanded into new markets and bolstered its organic growth. In addition, the company acquired two complementary businesses (Righi and Idea Quick), enlarged its product offering and increased its revenues from €11m to €30m.
