
Nexxus Iberia buys Grupo Bienzobas
Nexxus Iberia has acquired a majority stake in Grupo Bienzobas.
This is the fifth investment made by Nexxus Iberia Private Equity Fund I, which recently held a final close on €170m.
Nexxus co-invested in Grupo Bienzobas with a group of private investors that have managerial experience in the industry. A debt package to support the deal was also provided by Sabadell and BBVA.
The GP plans to accelerate the company's growth, consolidate its market position in Spain, and boost its international expansion in Europe and Latin America.
Company
Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Almería, Grupo Bienzobas provides specialised oncology care services for insurance companies and hospitals. The company employs a network of 100 oncologists providing its services in 19 Spanish provinces. It also operates its own care centres based in Córdoba and Jaén.
Its client base includes several Spanish and international insurance companies, such as Allianz, IberMutua, Sca, Asisa and Dkv Seguros. Grupo Bienzobas generated revenues of €20m in 2019.
