
Miura backs agricultural insurance broker Banasegur
Miura Partners has invested in Spanish agricultural insurance broker Banasegur.
With this acquisition, the GP intends to pursue a consolidation project in the brokerage sector, acquiring firms that cater for SMEs across Spain. The company will be rebranded as Brokers Alliance.
Miura also intends to focus on the implementation of organic strategic initiatives to enhance the group's commercial activity, while also improving its digitalisation processes.
Following the deal, Banasegur's management team will continue to lead the company, and current shareholders will reinvest in the company to retain a significant stake.

Banasegur specialises in the agricultural insurance intermediation sector, offering credit and surety, multi-risk, health and life insurance and pension products.
The company has branches in Lerida, Tarragona, Zaragoza, Murcia and Seville.
Banasegur generated revenues of €13m in 2020.
