Strong Q3 puts UK back on track
A strong third quarter showing in UK deal activity has helped put the market back on track for 2012, according to the latest unquoteт UK Watch, in association with Corbett Keeling.
Despite a difficult second quarter and tough times in Europe, UK buyouts worth over £150m are set to be more numerous this year than last, while deals valued at less than £150m are only slightly behind Q3 2011 numbers.
The early-stage and expansion spaces are also showing positive signs, with 45 deals in the third quarter, compared to 36 in Q2 and 41 in the same period last year.
