UK's top corporate financiers celebrated at London awards
Terry Smith of Collins Stewart Tullett was named as Corporate Financier of the Year, and Tim Shacklock of Gleacher Shacklock, received the award for Outstanding Achievement in Corporate Finance in an awards cememony hosted by the Corporate Finance Faculty. Smith, chief executive of Collins Stewart Tullett, started his career with Barclays Bank and became a stockbroker in 1984. In 2003, Terry and Collins Stewart pioneered the accelerated IPO technique, which was used to successfully float Northumbrian Water and Center Parcs. Chief executive of Gleacher Shacklock, Shacklock went into partnership with Eric Gleacher in 2003. He moved from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where, as deputy chairman, he held overall responsibility for the firm's corporate finance and advisory business around the world.
