Duke Street Capital
Duke Street Capital has appointed Eric Priestley as chairman of its operating partners. Priestley has been an operating partner at Duke Street since 1998 and replaces John Rogers, who was chairman for three years and now reverts to being a member of the operating partner team. Operating Partners provide industry expertise to Duke Street's investment team on deal origination, investee company management and development of strategy. Priestley spent eight years in the US, where he was chief operating officer of Jefferson Smurfit Corporation, the world's largest producer of paper-based packaging products. Prior to that he was president and chief executive of Rexam Inc. He has also been a main board director of two FTSE 100 companies: Redland Plc and Rexam Plc. He is currently chairman of Wastelink Group, Lynx Express Limited and Weir Holdings, deputy chairman of Avon Rubber plc and a non-executive director of Southwire Company.
