European tech tour comes to England
The European Tech Tour Association, a Geneva-based not-for-profit organization, is staging its first visit to England; it has run such tours in 13 countries over the past six years. The tour will commence in London on 30 June before moving to Cambridge and Oxford with Bristol, Bath, Southampton, Manchester and Leeds among other possible destinations. More than 200 English companies have so far been recommended to the selection committee, which comprises 20 high profile UK technology investors. The tour aims to identify the top 25 high-growth privately held technology companies in England and to introduce them to key European, US and Asian investors and professionals who can assist in their global expansion. The tour has received international sponsorship from Microsoft, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Vision Capital and local sponsorship from Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures and Hale & Dorr.
