Augusta & Co has announced the appointments of Thomas Warnholtz and Gerard Sander as partners. Thomas Warnholtz has experience as a structured investments and leveraged debt banker. Prior to joining Augusta & Co, he worked as country head and investment director for Germany, Switzerland and Austria at Intermediate Capital Group Plc. Before that he established the Structured Finance Group at Landesbank Berlin/Bankgesellschaft Berlin after working in the investment banking division of Citibank/Citicorp in Frankfurt and New York. At Augusta & Co, Warnhotz will head up the financial sponsor coverage activities and will focus on debt structuring and placement of transactions with special responsibility for mezzanine finance for the firm's European mid-market clients. Gerard Sander has over 22 years experience in investment banking. He spent the last two years at West LB Panmure as head of investment banking for France covering their M&A, ECM, private placement, private equity and high yield activities and prior to this was an executive director at Lazard, where he spent 15 years working in Paris and London. Gerard's wide experience in cross border transactions and specifically the French market combines well with his extensive knowledge of the European investor base. Sander will be responsible for the firm's growing French business, which includes both capital markets and advisory engagements and will also focus on secondary portfolio and fund activities.
