Strong initial performance for the UK MBO market

According to figures released by KPMG's Private Equity Group, the UK buyout market is 28% up on the first quarter from 2005 thanks to £4.78bn of transactions completed in Q1 of 2005. This represents 35 deals at an average value of £137m.
