Cambridge Challenge Fund
Lord Roger Freeman has been appointed as the new chairman of the University of Cambridge Challenge Fund, a provider of early investment to university spinouts. Lord Freeman was MP for Kettering from 1983-1997 and held a number of ministerial positions. In 1995 he entered the Cabinet as Minister for Public Service and became Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. He has been a partner and then a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he chaired the corporate finance advisory board, since 1997. In 1999 he was elected to the board of Thales UK Plc.
