LDC

LDC has appointed Stuart Layzell as portfolio director in its Midland office. The recruitment of Layzell will take the number of investment professionals in Birmingham to six. His prime responsibility will be to help to manage LDC's West Midlands business portfolio. With over 13 years experience in the industry, including eight years overseas, Layzell joins LDC from Defywire in the US, where he held the role of chief operating officer and board director. A chartered accountant and Durham University graduate, he started his career with Coopers & Lybrand before moving to the US as a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers Securities and, subsequently, as managing director (Europe) and vice-president of corporate development at Noblestar Systems.
