Royal Bank of Scotland

Rory Cullinan has joined the Royal Bank of Scotland as executive for corporate banking and financial markets. He joins the bank from private equity firm Verdoso, where he was a partner. Cullinan will assume executive responsibility for Royal Bank Property Ventures and will also be a member of the bank’s corporate banking and financial markets credit committee and the private equity investment committee. In addition, he will be vice chairman of the private equity business of RBS, which includes Royal Bank Private Equity, Royal Bank Ventures and NatWest Development Capital, as well as Royal Bank Property Ventures.

Royal Bank of Scotland Leveraged Finance has also announced two new executive appointments within its London-based team. Daryl Gayler joins as director and will report to Alan Devine, head of portfolio management. He joins from Bank Austria, where he spent the last four years as head of acquisition finance. Howard Sharp has also been appointed as director and will report to David Yeoman, head of leveraged finance syndications. He joins RBS from SocGen in Paris, where he worked for nine years, latterly heading up the asset-based syndication group. Sharp’s main responsibility will be for French and German leveraged syndications.
