Barclays Capital has announced the appointment of Andrew Matthews as a director within Barclays Private Equity. He will be part of the infrastructure team with responsibility for managing the UK Infrastructure fund. This fund invests in projects sponsored by governments under PFI and PPP. He will report to Chris Elliot, managing director of Barclays Capital and manager of the fund. Matthews joins from Financial Security Assurance (UK), where he has been a vice president since 1998.
