Invest Ireland update
From April 2002 to March 2003 Invest Northern Ireland (InvestNI) has reported that it gained commitments totalling EUR 858m from client companies, universities and other economic bodies. InvestNI itself contributed some EUR 198m of this amount. 258 Existing InvestNI client companies received some EUR 572m; the agency also secured 10 inward investment projects totalling EUR 31m. During the year it assisted 2,141 new business start-ups (well above its target of 1,500), including 101 new high-growth companies with investments totalling EUR 30m.
