Scotland unveils new £4m angel fund
Bank of Scotland has launched a £4m fund to support SMEs alongside Scottish Enterprises Scottish Co-investment Fund. The bank is the first UK retail bank to embark on a direct scheme for angel investors. The aim of the angel partnership fund is to encourage investment across early-stage growth companies in Scotland. The Bank of Scotland has pledged £2m to the fund, which will be matched by Scottish Enterprises on a deal-by-deal basis. The fund will co-invest with business angels, with the focus of encouraging investment from this growing angel investment community.
