Shaun Beaney has been appointed Business Development Manager with the Corporate Finance Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). Beaney’s role will be to reinforce the role of the Faculty as a centre of excellence in corporate finance by delivering high-quality services to its members. This will include organising major events and networking opportunities, such as the Annual Dinner & Awards, seminars and conferences. He will also have overall responsibility for the Faculty’s publications and marketing strategy. Beaney joins the ICAEW from Real Deals, the private equity magazine, where he was deputy editor for the last four years. He won the ‘specialist’ award as Venture Capital Journalist of the Year in 2001. He was previously with BDO Stoy Hayward Corporate Finance, where he established and ran the research team.
