Index Ventures expands European presence

Index Ventures, the Switzerland-based pan-European venture capital firm has appointed Danny Rimer as partner with the express purpose of establishing an office in London. Rimer was most recently a general partner at The Barksdale Group, a venture capital firm based in Menlo Park, California. Index Ventures has $500m under management, dedicated to investment in high technology and life sciences. It began investing in European technology in 1992.
