Standard Life Investments
The fund management house has appointed Keith Skeoch as its new chief executive, with immediate effect. Sandy Crombie was recently appointed as group chief executive at the company. Skeoch will also continue as the group’s previously chief investment officer, a position which he has held from April 1999. Prior to this, he spent 20 years at HSBC, where he worked in a variety of roles including chief economist, director of economics and strategy, and managing director of international equities. Meanwhile, Hugh Stevenson replaces Sandy Crombie as non-executive chairman of Standard Life Investments. Stevenson was formerly chairman of Mercury Asset Management. Colin Buchan has been appointed non-executive deputy chairman of the company, having previously held the position of global head of equities at UBS Warburg.
