Carlyle sells hedge fund business
Carlyle Group has recently sold a majority stake in its hedge fund business, Carlyle Asset Management Group, to the firm's management. The unit was set up in 2001 by former World Bank executive Afsneh Beschloss and specialises in funds-of-hedge-funds. Carlyle's stake will initially decrease from 100% to 40%, before selling its entire interest.
