Hicks Muse (Europe)

Hicks Muse (Europe) has confirmed that senior figures from the branded consumer industry, Javier Ferrán and George Sewell, will join the firm as directors. Most recently, Ferrán, a Spanish national, was the president and chief executive officer of Bacardi Ltd. Sewell was at Quaker Oats for 32 years, becoming president of Quaker European Foods in 1995, a position he held until 2004. Sewell was also chairman of the Association of Cereal Food Manufacturers and is also a non-executive director of Premier Foods. Both Ferran and Sewell started in their respective positions at Hicks Muse (Europe) in April 2005.
