Mezzanine specialist leaves Goldman Sachs to launch independent fund
Robin Doumar, head of European mezzanine finance at Goldman Sachs, has been joined by David Cottam, head of international equity capital markets at BNP Paribas, to set-up an independent mezzanine fund. According to press reports the fund, which is seeking to raise around 31bn, hopes to raise two thirds of commitments from two limited partners, Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec and Ontario Teachers Pension Plan.
