Actis
Alistair Mackintosh has joined Actis as a managing partner and chief investment officer, joining from Prudential Plc's private equity business. Mackintosh will chair the fund investment committees and will also be responsible for overseeing Actis's investment decision making process worldwide. Alistair takes over as chief investment officer from Andrew Reicher, who will now focus solely on his role as fund manager of Actis's energy fund. Mackintosh joins Actis from PPM Ventures Ltd, the international private equity business of Prudential Plc. As a senior member of its management, Alistair was actively involved in the development of the firm's business and investment strategy, as well as in sourcing, analysing and negotiating new investments. Prior to this, Alistair was at 3i Group Plc.
