LDC
LDC has strengthened its London team with the appointment of Tim Farazmand as investment director. Farazmand has joined the company from Catalyst Fund Management & Research, where he was responsible for portfolio management, deal origination and fundraising. Previously, he was an investment director at 3i before leaving to set up Royal Bank of Scotland Private Equity's London office. LDC’s London-based team previously consisted of eight professionals, headed by regional director Simon Dempsey. Farazmand is the fifth senior appointment made by LDC during the last six months.LDC has also strengthened its northern team with the appointment of Marcus Black as portfolio director. Black was previously a director of PricewaterhouseCoopers' pre- and post-deal services team, which he helped establish in 1998. With extensive experience in operation due diligence, Black has worked with a range of private equity-backed businesses including RBPE and Doncasters Plc. He also has experience of performing post-merger integration programmes and pre-merger synergy reviews across a broad range of industry sectors.
