Quester wins mandates to manage £8m of new university funds
Quester has won two mandates to manage £8m of new funds awarded in the second round of the UK University Challenge Seed Fund (UCSF) initiative. UCSFs are a Government initiative designed to help develop academic research into commercial venture. Quester won the mandate to manage the newly created £4m Lachesis fund on behalf of a consortium of East Midlands universities. Quester was also appointed to manage an additional £4m awarded to the Sulis Seedcorn fund for the universities of Bath, Bristol and Southampton. Quester now manages £24m of early-stage funds for nine universities. Dr Jonathan Gee joined the healthcare team in 2001 from Imperial College in order to further develop Quester’s relationships with UK academic institutions.
