Baring Private Equity Partnes exceeds $2bn under management
Baring Private Equity Partners (BPEP) has announced that its funds under management surpass $2bn, due to a 10% increase last year amounting to over $190m. 74% of BPEP’s capital comes from a core group of 40 investors and repeat investors who have invested in more than one fund. These repeat investors account for more than half of BPEP’s total funds under management. Over 80% of the capital has been provided by third-party investors. The remainder is provided by ING Group (BPEP’s parent company) in the form of seed capital. In the past year, BPEP has closed several funds, including the Baring Vostok Private Equity Fund, the Baring Asia Private Equity Fund II, LP, and the Baring Central European Fund, LP.
