The board of Avanti Capital has announced the recruitment of Jonathan Poole to strengthen its investment team. Poole worked extensively with Avanti on the recent £7m purchase of 28 selected sites of the Po Na Na estate by Barvest, which is 40% owned by Avanti. Most recently, he was a consultant at Catalyst Networks Ltd where he advised on early stage fundraising and negotiated and developed strategic alliances. Between 1999 and 2002 he spent two and a half years at ING Barings as a senior associate in corporate finance, specialising in European M&A and fundraising. From 1997 to 1999 he was an associate in corporate finance at UBS Warburg, where he analysed and transacted on a wide variety of deals across diverse sectors including healthcare, support services, leisure, media and financial services. He is currently reading for an executive MBA at the London Business School.
