
HgCapital announces Rainmaker results
Stuart McKee of PricewaterhouseCoopers has won HgCapital's Rainmaker of the Year award. Based on statistics compiled by unquoteâ€, the Rainmaker competition recognises the most successful deal originators in the UK private equity industry. McKee introduced four deals during 2004 while PricewaterhouseCoopers also won the consumer sector award, having originated 18 deals in the segment. Charles Milner of KPMG was recognised as the best performing deal originator of the last five years, having recorded 10 transactions. Catalyst Corporate Finance was the independent house of the year, having originated three deals, while Hawkpoint Partners took the honours in the same category over five years with 10 deals recorded. In the other sector awards, Deloitte was the most prominent deal originator in media, healthcare and financials, while KPMG won the awards for leisure and industrials. Broadview originated more deals than any other house in the technology sector.
