
Candesic opens healthcare due diligence unit in London
Candesic, a recent spin-out from McKinsey & Co, has announced the formation of a six-strong healthcare due diligence unit based in London. Four partners, all former consultants from McKinsey & Co, formed Candesic in June 2002. Candesic currently has six other consultants and has access to 150 individuals in its expert networking, executing 20 engagements for 13 different clients since founding. The business targets investments of E10m and 4200m, which are typically later-stage biotech, medical devices, medical services and pharmaceutical spinouts. Candesic's principal office is in London and it is in the process of opening a satellite office in Paris.
