Change in VCT Regulations
Regulations making it easier for VCTs to managetheir investment portfolios without jeopardisingtheir shareholders’ tax reliefs were laid before the House of Commons on 22 October. TheRegulations will prevent investments made byVCTs in companies which are involved in certainkinds of corporate re-structuring from ceasing toqualify for the VCT scheme. The regulations haveapplication to re-structuring that takes place on orafter 21 March 2000.
