Sc ottish Executive creates £20m venture capital fund-of-funds
Scottish Enterprise Minister Wendy Alexander announced on 12 February that the Scottish Executive’s strategy of Regional Selective Assistance was being redesigned to focus more on the nurturing of high-quality entrepreneurial projects across Scotland, to enable them to achieve their full growth potential. As part of this new approach a £20m venture capital fund-of-funds has been created to address the equity gap, by investing in a number of new private sector equity funds making small-scale investments.
