Antal International targets emerging PE markets
Antal International, a global executive recruitment company, has recently launched an emerging markets private equity practice. Primarily in London, Moscow, Beijing and also across South East Asia and CEE, Antal International will cater for the needs of clients which have stayed out of emerging markets but are now attracted to the high growth prospects in these areas. Tremayne Elson, who set up the Antal Russian operation in 1994 has recently rejoined the group to focus on the boom of inward investment into emerging markets. Elson, managing partner in Moscow, together with Tony Goodwin, chief executive, and Graeme Read, COO, will lead the practice combining their global reach, knowledge, information and experience for their clients’ benefit. Groups targeting the region include Baring Vostok Capital Partners, which launched a $205m fund in January of this year, and Alfa Group, which teamed up with Vostok Nafta, led by Swedish Energy magnate Adolf Lundin, to create the $200m Russian Resources Fund.
