Nikko Principal Investments Ltd has announced the appointment of Andrew Balgarnie as a principal with effect from 24th May 2004. Balgarnie joins the group after an 18 year career at Morgan Stanley & Co Ltd spanning a broad range of industries and markets. As a managing director in the UK corporate finance group he was responsible for managing the relationship with, and providing corporate finance and treasury advice to, a variety of major UK Plc companies including National Grid, Compass, Diageo and Securicor. Earlier, Balgarnie established Morgan Stanley's business in Russia and was head of the representative office.
