Livingstone Guarentee
Livingstone Guarentee has announced two promotions. James Lever has been made a partner with effect from 1 October 2004. Lever joined the firm in September 1999. A lawyer by training, Lever worked at city law firm Cameron McKenna and then boutique law firm Rakisons before joining LG. Lever's appointment brings the number of LG partners to six. In addition, Alex Sheffield has been promoted to director. Sheffield joined Livingstone Guarantee in September 2001 and has quickly become a backbone of the firm's private equity team. In the last 3 years, Sheffield has completed 12 transactions, many of them in the Home & Building Products sector. Both Lever and Sheffield were part of the senior team that successfully completed the management buyout of Livingstone Guarantee in March 2003. Livingstone Guarentee has also appointed a new human capital industry advisor in Michael Squires. Squires' experience spans twenty years as a consultant advising Boards on succession planning, recruitment and structuring of human resources to meet the ever-changing employment marketplace. He has held various influential positions throughout his career, at leading global organisations, including The Butterfield Partnership Ltd, a London-based senior level, executive search boutique. He then became founding partner of TASA International in 1990 and subsequently held the position of managing partner, developing the London office into the largest and most profitable in the group.
