New investment trust from Jupiter Asset Management
Following on from the Jupiter International Investment Trust, Jupiter Asset Management has launched a successor vehicle, the Global Green Investment Trust. Shares will be listed on LSE with a minimum subscription of 1000 shares. Up to 25% of funds raised may be invested in unlisted companies. The investment focus will be on socially responsible small and medium-sized companies worldwide which are providing profitable solutions to environmental problems, such as in the sectors of renewable energy, waste recycling and public transport. The trust will seek to avoid businesses which derive in excess of 10% of turnover from tobacco production, weapons manufacture and nuclear power generation.
