Private equity and commercial property outperform hedge
For the five years to the year ended December 2003, private equity and commercial property have shown mean performance returns of 10.2% and 10.5% respectively, while hedge funds have on average returned just 8.2% according to a report by Hotbed. Additionally, in the last sixth months statistics from CFSB/Tremont Hedge Fund Index has indicated negative returns for hedge funds of 0.37%.
