Standard Life Investments' Strategy team has been strengthened with the announcement that Richard Batty will join the company from HSBC Securities. Batty has been appointed as global strategist in the Strategy team, which carries out internal research and analysis underpinning the House View. He will report to Andrew Milligan, Head of Global Strategy. Batty will extend the existing quantitative modelling techniques and capabilities of the team, especially in the area of measuring investor sentiment, by focusing on such areas as time series analysis and stock screening.
