Duke Street Capital launches Iberian private equity business
Duke Street Capital Group has announced the launch of Iberduke Capital Partners, a private fund management company based in Madrid. Iberduke is 51% owned by Duke Street Capital and is currently fundraising for its first investment vehicle, Iberduke Participaciones, which recently held a first close on Euro 80m and anticipates a final close with Euro 120m later this year. The fund will focus on mid-market buyouts in the leisure, media and content, business support services and diversified industrial areas with an average enterprise value of Euro 30-300m. In line with Duke Street’s buy-and-build transaction history, Iberduke will look to facilitate cross border build-ups of its platform investments. Iberduke will be managed by an experienced local management team and run with the full-time support of Duke Street’s Spanish desk. Its investor base will consist of Spanish and Portuguese regional financial institutions, entrepreneurs and industrialists.
