Ariadne Capital, the pan-European venture group founded by Julie Meyer, has appointed Senia Rapisarda to its senior management team, with effect from 1 July 2001. Rapisarda joins Ariadne from Nomura International where she was the head of Principal Investments in the communications and technology group. During her three years at Nomura, Rapisarda helped manage $300m in investments across 42 companies in Europe, Israel and the US. She worked on IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, block trades, M&A and advisory work. As general manager at Ariadne, Rapisarda will lead the establishment of its proposed co-investment fund, which is currently seeking regulatory authorization. The fund will co-invest alongside top financial institutions in technology, media and telecoms companies in Europe.
