Aberdeen Murray Johnstone Private Equity (AMJPE) has announced the appointment of Wayne Thomas as senior investment manager in its Leeds office. Thomas joins AMJPE with responsibility for Yorkshire and the North East of England. Previously he worked for Ernst & Young where he was assistant director of corporate finance advising on a variety of private equity transactions including buyouts and development capital deals, as well as a number of corporate disposals. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, he spent three years at Casson Beckman in its Manchester office where he was assistant director, responsible for sourcing and leading transactions. He also spent six years with BDO, including a 12 month secondment to BDO in Australia. Thomas has a BA Hons in accounting & finance from Manchester University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
