
3i looks to grow in Ireland
3i has revealed plans to significantly grow its current Irish investment portfolio of IR £48m over the next five years, according to Clive Austin, Director of 3i Ireland. The group’s newly established Dublin office is looking for both technology/growth deals and leveraged buyouts. To date 3i has invested in a portfolio of 17 businesses. The portfolio in the Republic of Ireland is built around nine investments, while the Northern Ireland portfolio is a mix of technology companies and traditional companies and totals eight investments. 3i Ireland also plans to recruit locally to build the existing team in Ireland.
