New seed fund targets London
The London Seed Capital Fund has been launched to help plug the equity gap facing smaller companies. The new fund has secured a £2.65m commitment from the DTI's Small Business Service and £150,000 from Greater London Enterprise, and will operate through the OneLondon Business Angels Network. The fund is the first of a series of regional funds planned to encourage economic growth across the UK and has already made a £100,000 investment in Primal Soup, a food manufacturer based in Park Royal.
