Soros Capital Management
Chip Seelig has joined Soros Capital Management as a managing director. Seelig founded the independent cinema chain Madstone Films and was previously chief financial officer of the fixed income, currency and commodities group at Goldman Sachs. Prior to this, he ws head of the firm’s mortgage and municipal businesses and co-head of the Asian special situations group. He will report to Steve Munchin, and will focus on large credit-driven investments, in collaboration with Soros’s private equity, real estate and corporate credit groups. Soros Capital Management was set up last year to invest in distressed and corporate loans.
