Conduit Partners announces research results
Conduit Partners Ltd. (Conduit), the practice for early-stage technology companies and their investors, today publicly announced the findings of its Market Ready Survey, which explored the success factors surrounding investment in pre-IPO technology companies in both the US and the UK. Three main findings emerged from the study. Firstly, a direct correlation was found between focussed routes-to-market execution and successful investments. Secondly, evidence emerged of a synergistic 'gap' emerging between angel investors and venture capitalists. Finally, an inverse relationship was uncovered between the uniqueness of intellectual property and market success. It is thought the latter relates to the difficulty of bringing to market highly academic innovations.
