Tenon Group acquires law firm
Following on from its recent acquisition of Livingstone Guarantee, DHD Corporate Finance and the Nottingham and Leicester branches of BDO Stoy Hayward (5 November 2001, page 10), the Tenon Group plc has completed the partial purchase of London law firm, Statham Gill Davies, for £7m. Statham Gill Davies specialises in media and entertainment and Tenon can now add business-related legal services to its long list of financial services. As part of the transaction the vendor has had to cease practising as a solicitor and give up its practising certificates. The firm’s litigators have formed a two-partner firm, Anderson Forbes, which will work closely with Tenon. The Tenon Group was advised on the deal by a team from MacFarlanes, led by Matthew Blows.
