Mid-market transactions to concentrate on three sectors
Over 90% of private equity houses and brokers expect the volume and value of mid-market transactions to increase or to stay the same over the next 12 months according to a survey by Grant Thornton. The survey found that almost half of all mid-market deal opportunities for the next 12 months are expected to develop in just three sectors with 19% expected in business services, 19% in healthcare and 10% in financial services, leaving other sectors such as retail and media expecting 1% and 4% of opportunities respectively.
