Cavendish shoot sorts the wheat from the chaff
Flush from celebrating a record 17 deals in the first 8 months of the year, Cavendish Corporate Finance recently held its inaugural Cavendish Private Equity Hot-Shot Challenge at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School in Pangbourne. Top Gun of the Day Award went to Stuart Veale (Beringea), who scored 35 points out of a possible 52, narrowly edging out Simon Ffinch (Graphite) and Peter Watt (NBGI). The Anne Oakley Prize for highest female score went to Alena Watchorn (HSBC Gibbs). Top Team Award was presented to a group led by Ian Sale (LloydsTSB Acquisition Finance) and including Stuart Veale, Helen Park-Weir (Cavendish), Brent Nabbs (Cavendish) and Bill Anthony (3i). The Clay Conservation Award, meanwhile, was won by a group led by Howard Leigh (Cavendish), Fabrizio Carpanini (Olswang), Ruth Storm (IIRfc), Oliver Huntsman (Electra) and David Williams (Sandaire). Oliver Huntsman (Electra) also recieved honourable mention as the Best-Dressed Sportsman.
